I give them some guidelines to help, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>make sure every shot is moving the story<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use multiple shots in your scenes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>start shots as early as possible and end them as soon as possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>perform with energy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because they&#8217;re working on foundational skills, I don&#8217;t emphasize another truth that&#8217;s important in all creative activities: once you understand the rules, <strong>break them<\/strong>.  This movie does all the things I tell my students to avoid, and that&#8217;s why it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FUN MOVIE ADVENTURES FACTS!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>This was the 100th film I watched at least once this year.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>91 of those were films I had never seen before<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 were watched at home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 were animated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 were watched on an airplane<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>exactly one was so boring that I left early. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the graphics I made for all the films in the order I watched them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"644\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ga2so.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/100-movies-1024x644.jpg\" alt=\"Graphics I made for 100 movies.
