Missed the best one!
I can’t believe I posted those Criterion Collection films yesterday and missed the one that’s the surefire winner of everything. Forgive me.
Pete Davidson better be working on his Best Actor acceptance speech! -
Oscars are coming!
There are only a couple of months until the 95th Academy Awards. While I have already seen every single film that came out in 2022, I try to rewatch likely Best Picture nominees at least six times before the broadcast so I can really lock down my picks. While I usually have to settle for streaming, a few of the sure-fire nominees have been released as fully remastered Criterion Collection discs. These are the miracles of 2022 that I now own. Highly recommended.

Forgive Me
So, over on Mastodon some folks were doing a bit where every song became a version of William Carlos Williams’ This Is Just To Say. I went a little outside the original spec and did these.
First up was a beloved action poetry classic.
I love that it looks like Belloq is screaming “NOT THE PLUMS! I WAS SAVING THOSE FOR BRERAKFAST!” I regret not working in Indy climbing into the refrigerator.
And an alt-rock classic.
So sweet and so cold tender hooligan. If you want to see more of my Mastodon foolishness, why not follow me there? It’s like Twitter, if twitter was a clearing full of beautiful twigs that you had to assemble into a tree. And you can find more goofy fake records, books, poster, and more with this exciting link to posts tagged with Photoshop.

Terry made the best records.
If you can name all the other pictured albums I will give you a real nickel (offer only applies to the first 100 people to guess correctly). You might not know Terry Thomas by name, but if you’re somewhere around my age you’ll probably recognize him.
